Team Information

Fort Frances Girls Hockey Association Coaches are selected by the Board of Directors. Person's interested in being a Head Coach are to provide in writing to the Board, their intention to Coach, their philosophy on coaching, previous experience, and any certification required.

Any persons that are on the ice or bench must have at least passed the Speak Out course developed by Hockey Canada and also must provide a Criminal Records check.

Criminal Records Checks for volunteers are free of charge and are available at the local detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police.

FFGHA works in conjunction with the Fort Frances Minor Hockey Association, who regularly hold development courses in the Fort Frances Area. These courses are advertised in the Fort Frances Times, and at locations around the Fort Frances Arena. FFGHA will attempt to provide these dates on the Upcoming Events/News page.

Note: Age cut off is December 31st .

NOVICE: Ages 4-8

ATOM: Ages 9-10

PEEWEE: Ages 11-12

BANTAM: Ages 13-14

MIDGET: Ages 15-17
