Complaint Procedure:
During the course of the hockey season there are going to be issues with teams, coaches, parents, and players. The proper way to deal with issues that might arise are as follows:
- First speak to the head coach of the team in a private setting or at a team meeting (making sure not to let emotions override the situation);
- If unsatisfied with the results of step one, meet with the team manager and again state your concerns;
- If unsatisfied with the results of steps one and two, provide a letter to the Board of Directors stating your case to deal with at the next Board meeting. (Letters are to be dropped off at the Sportsplex desk to be placed in the Girls Hockey Mailbox). Let the President, Vice-President, or Secretary know that the letter has been submitted, and you would like it discussed at the next board meeting;
- You may be requested to attend the Board Meeting, or the next Board Meeting. The President/Vice-President will let you know if you may be required to attend.
- Meetings of the Board of Directors are held at 6:30 pm the first Tuesday of each Month starting in August and finishing in April.
- ONLY written complaints will be addressed. Verbal complaints will not be entertained, nor are people to call Board members at home to voice concerns.
The Board of Directors would like to stress that all people associated with the Fort Frances Girls and Women's Hockey Association are volunteers. Coaches, Asst Coaches, Trainers, Managers, Board Members, etc give of their time to help Girls Hockey happen in our area. Please remember this when dealing with others. Our goal is to encourage that all players as a whole develop their skills in hockey and see this club grow to support more teams and players each year.
